Algorithm Engineer

What will I be doing?

You’ll be developing algorithms for our systems with focus on the fields of digital communication, signal processing and video compression, for a new exciting, top notch technology which will be used for projects in several vertical markets as Cinematography, Video broadcasting, Enterprise and medical markets.
Exploration and adaptation of HEVC and other new video compression methods – for ‘near zero’ latency solutions while keeping the maximum video quality and adapting the bit rate to the variable channel conditions.
Exploration and development of OFDM and MIMO based technologies similar to the 802.11 family.
Work closely with Amimon’s R&D groups – VLSI, System, Software, Hardware and RF teams.

Qualified candidates must have
  • MSc in electrical engineering, highly capable engineers with BSc degree will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years as an algorithm engineer.
  • Very good understanding in digital signal processing.
  • Video compression knowledge such as HEVC/H.265 (advantage).
  • Expert in Matlab coding.
  • Good system understanding.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to lead small projects.
  • Fast and self-learning capabilities.

System Engineer & Video expert

What will I be doing?

You’ll be defining the system’s architecture with a focus on video domains, for a new exciting, top notch technology which will be used for projects in several vertical markets as Cinematography, Video broadcasting, Enterprise and medical markets.
Exploration and adaptation of HEVC and other new video compression methods – for ‘near zero’ latency solutions while keeping the maximum video quality and adapting the bit rate to the variable channel conditions. Take a part in IP selection (in case of FPGA solutions) or IC selection (in case of an external compression solution).

Work closely with Amimon’s R&D groups – System, Algorithm, Software, Hardware, RF teams for examination of the product and the technology needs Vs suggested solution and architecture.

Required Skills
Experience with video processing and video compression.
Working on a full design flow from high-level architecture definitions, through micro architecture.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible.


It would be awesome if you also had:
  • Familiarity with FPGA families of Altera / Xilinx
  • Verilog coding capabilities
  • C coding capabilities
  • Familiarity with Linux OS
Qualified candidates must have
  • BSc in Electronics engineering/ MSc advantage
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of video compression domain (Can be a relevant knowledge from handing it as SW/HW/VLSI Eng.)
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience of System architecture Eng.

VLSI/FPGA expert

What will I be doing?

You’ll be developing a new exciting, top notch technology which will be used for projects in several vertical markets as Cinematography, Video Broadcasting, Enterprise and medical markets
The development, design and the architecture involves video encoding/decoding, modems, RF control – based on most advanced generations of Xilinx and/or Altera FPGAs.
Leading small in-house group of designers and verification engineers and handling design and verification sub-contractors.
Work closely with Amimon’s RnD groups – System, Algorithm, Software, Hardware, RF teams from definition, through FPGA architecture, design, verification synthesis and validation.

Required Skills
Must have experience with FPGA (Xilinx or Altera) design flow, including writing and ownership on complex Verilog blocks with performance, area and power constrains.
Working on a full design flow from high-level architecture definitions, through micro architecture, Verilog writing and verification process, Synthesis.
Must have an experience with Video compression engines such as H264, H265 and the relevant IPs.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible.

It would be awesome if you also had:
  • Hands-on experience and background in verification environments such as UVM System Verilog
  • Experience with Cadence design and test tools – Such as Xcelium
  • Familiarity with Linux OS
Qualified candidates must have
  • BSc in Electronics engineering/ MSc advantage
  • A minimum of 6 years as FPGA Engineer
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience of team leading
  • Good understanding of FPGA architecture and Verification methods
  • Video compression knowledge and experience.
