AMIMON’s Development Kits

WHDI™ Development Kit

AMIMON’s Development Kit allows self-implementation of AMIMON’s wireless video modules and chipsets, enabling quick development of a wireless A/V HD system.

The kit includes a complete production file for the wireless modules, an HDK for the interface modules and an SDK for the application software running on the system’s micro-controller.

Both interface boards facilitate designing customized transmitter or receiver A/V interface modules.

AMIMON 13080 transmitterOn the transmitter side, AMIMON provides a comprehensive interface module, supporting the following A/V inputs: Dual HDMI, component, composite, (CVBS), PC VGA (DB-15), SPDIF (optical and coax) and stereo.

AMIMON 14080 receiverOn the receiver side, AMIMON provides an interface module supporting the following A/V outputs: HDMI, Component, PC VGA (DB-15), SPDIF (optical and coax) and stereo.

WHDI™ Interface

AMIMON’s revolutionary WHDI™ chipset enables wireless connectivity of any uncompressed HD video and audio. Both the AMN2110 baseband transmitter & AMN2210 baseband receiver have digital interfaces for video, audio and control:

    Video
  • Up to 30 bit RGB or YCrCb
  • 4 control lines - Clock, Data enable, H-sync & V-sync
    Audio
  • SPDIF, supporting compressed 5.1/7.1 audio channels
  • I2S, supporting 2 uncompressed PCM audio channels
    Control
  • Slave mode two-wire Serial Bus, where the WHDI™ device is controlled by the system’s micro-controller
  • Slave mode two-wire Serial Bus is also used for the application uplink channel
  • Two interrupt lines coming from the WHDI™ device
  • 7 x general purpose I/O - for reset, LED and other functionalities
    Power
  • 3.3V and GND lines
  • Wireless module consumes up to 6W

The WHDI™ connector allows easy integration of the wireless modules (Tx or Rx) with an audio-video source (i.e. HD-DVD) or an audio-video sink (i.e. FPD or projector), enabling their wireless connectivity.
